I been up since like midnight. I was watching the History Channel, amazed by how the lands of earth were all connected at one point. Very interesting. But yet we all racists in some form or another right? smh. Then I got to watch CNN on how Obama is messing up (in others mind's). They need to jus relax. They act like he was gonna change the world in the first month. That's why Presidents are appointed to 4 year terms! Just give it a while...we'll be on point again shortly. I haven't been getting much sleep lately. Idk why. I think about on how I'm gonna adjust to this new life in Birmingham. I know I gotta find a job upon arrival cause I need to get my crib and my car. I wanna come back to visit "Home" every few months. There's plenty of places I need to go within the next 2 years. ATL, Florida, Texas, New Orleans, and Brazil to name a few. Me and my Country Cousin Slick Vic. I need to show him the Chicago life. Skyscrapers, lots of ppl, and plenty of places to chill if you know where to go. I jus added a playlist to the blogspot yesterday. For some odd reason I can't get it to play automatically. But oh well, click and enjoy. And yes, I have a lot of Charles Hamilton music on it! That's damn near my favorite artist as of now. He has so much to say on different levels its ridiculous. On to another subject, I jus had an epiphany that Gucci Mane raps as though he as a to-do list. It's so bad! Ol grocery list ass nigga (Thx Vince). I saw on WSHH that he had a welcome back party and someone was holding a sign that said, "Gucci Mane! Welcome back to the Trap!" Am I the only person that found somethin wrong with that? Since when do ppl take pride in a/the trap? The definition of Trap is: a device or tactic intended to harm, capture, detect, or inconvenience a human or animal intruder, an animal pest, or a game. But u glorify it right? I guess some ppl love to get caught. SMH..And I won't even touch on him makin a song called "Imma Dog". The chorus says enough..STUPID! Dumb niggaz I swear. It's a sad state of mind some of us praise these days. And Shawty Lo ass drinkin out of a bottle of water that I certainly wish I coulda spit in. He's wack too. I would put the vid up but I refuse to lower my ppls IQ.
What should I type today? I had so many thoughts this past week but I wasn't by a comp. long enough to jot it down so I guess I'll just start with the first thing that pops in my head. My vaca down south was off the chain gang. Beautiful weather! 70 degree weather, 75 degree weather. 60 degree nights. GREAT! Women... are off the chain! Its hard to get past their accents though. I'm sure they gotta lotta sense but damn sometimes they sure don't sound like it. And they had the nerve to say I talk funny!? They act like they can't say the last 2 letters of a word..so lazy lol. But I love em all regardless. They tell me I talk proper..which brings me to my next question..wtf is proper? Is it the fact that I choose to pronounce my words the way its written? Or are the ppl in the south so used to speaking "slang" it sounds proper? But hell, we talk slang too. Anyway, back to the situation at hand. The bodies of these women are B E A utiful! I had wandering eyes since I touched down there. I don't really do clubs but I went to a few. I went to a club called Platinum. It was nice. Some random chick approached me, chat chitted with me, then dropped me the math. She told me to call her anytime. Even though I told her I was from Chi-City, she said she really wanted me to come back and visit cause she noticed something different about me. Nothin she ever seen before. I'm thinkin like, "Yea aiight..u r right. I ain't your average Joe. But maybe u can tell that cause of how I was dressed, but in any case ur drunk. I'll never base a relationship in a club scene. Maybe on a different (more sober) occasion." But I was happy that she approached me. That was sexy to me. My cousin told me I was getting a lot of eyeball action in the club from the fefe's. I didn't even notice, but I liked it lol. Anyway, left there and went to a karaoke bar around the corner. It was cool too. Real laid back atmosphere. After a few rounds of liquid courage, I approached a female and just had good small talk with her. She eventually offered her number. I agreed. And never called. And don't plan on it lol. But on some real shit, being down south made me realize the importance of family. Since I don't have family like that up north, to come down south and have family on damn near every e-way exit in Birmingham makes me feel safe. Like I can go to anybody crib and chill. I like that. And we have a tight family. The re-pass at my cousin Francis house was amazing in my view cause its something I rarely see and I was surrounded by ppl that I can talk to. Young and not so young. Good Food + Family = laughs & love. Gotta love family y'all..I can't wait to move down there.
